Born in Naples, he served as a pilot during World War II, an experience that influenced his future work in cinema. After the war, Capuano transitioned into filmmaking, directing 43 films between 1947 and 1971. He often used the pseudonym Lewis King. His notable works include The Two Orphans (1954), The Last of the Vikings (1961), and Zorro and the Three Musketeers (1963). Capuano's films are characterized by their dynamic storytelling and engaging action sequences, contributing significantly to Italian popular cinema during his active years.
